A Truly Sweet Evening: Celebrating Motherhood

0

Our team loves to celebrate. We celebrate motherhood, marriage, victories, struggles. We celebrate single mamas, homeschool mamas, hard working mamas and mamas who stay at home (and work hard). We celebrate moms who have one child, and moms who have 6 children, moms who are in the toddler years, all the way to moms who are walking through the college years and beyond. And, we think our team is made up of the sweetest mamas around.

So, it is only fitting that our last team get together was held at Sweet Celebrations. We were so grateful to have them host us and provide a fabulous night for our team. We love to get together in person with our team of amazing writers, and on Thursday, January 12th, 2017, not only did we get together, but we also added new contributors to our team. Sweet Celebrations provided a wonderful atmosphere for us to meet everyone for the first time!

About Sweet Celebrations

Sweet Celebrations Founder, Amy Sufak, has more than 20 years of professional event planning expertise. She also has two daughters who absolutely love to host celebrations. Throughout the years, they’ve hosted lavish tea parties, elegant dinner parties and festive holiday-themed events for their friends. Amy’s girls needed a fresh place to have their get-togethers but couldn’t find anything new in Colorado. Amy created Sweet Celebrations to be the perfect mix of sweet, sparkle and fun for her party girls and yours.

And that is just what it is…

This victorian home in the heart of downtown has been transformed into a little girl’s dream. From a sweet tea party with friends, to walking down a fabulous runway all dolled up, to a spa party with up to seven friends, Sweet Celebrations really provides an opportunity that is unmatched in Colorado Springs.

There are many party packages to choose from, including a Sweet Shoppe Bakery Workshop that is also great for boys and a Sweet Scouts package which allows your Girl Scout troop to earn a new badge.  We love the fact that when you book a party at Sweet Celebrations, it truly is a private party. Only one group is booked at a time!

Sweet Celebrations is perfect for birthdays, bridal showers, mother-daughter, father-daughter or multigenerational royal teas, anniversary dinners, even baby showers. It’s a place where guests can feel cherished, beautiful and most of all, celebrated!

Our team had such a fabulous night being hosted by the ladies at Sweet Celebrations. Our group may have been just as excited as a group of little girls. We enjoyed delicious cupcakes, a chocolate fountain, fun drinks, and even giveaways for wine! Laughter, great conversation, and many selfies in the adorable space were the cherry on top of our night out!

Sweet Celebrations is located in Colorado Spring’s Historic Downtown in a beautiful 130-year-old Victorian on the southeast corner of Weber & Monument Street. When arriving for your Sweet Celebration, enter through the Monument Street pink lattice door on the pink side porch on the North side of the building!

We received an evening for our team at Sweet Celebrations. The thoughts and opinions are our own, and we only work with brands we love.

Tonya
Tonya grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she majored in Health Promotion (the degree you choose when you know are meant to make an impact but you don’t know exactly how) After graduating in 2003, her adventurous spirit lead her to pack up her little car and move to Colorado Springs. Her heart was easily won by the beautiful landscape, the amazing weather, colorful Aspen trees, and the fabulous people in this city. In 2008, she married her love and best friend, Ryan. They added two amazing boys to the family…Landon (2009) and Kellan (2011). After a rewarding career as a Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and a sales representative for Pfizer, her heart desired more time with her boys. In 2011, she became a work from home mom, focusing on her very busy boys full time and her health and wellness coaching business part time! Her passion as a mom includes building legos, trips to the zoo, family hikes, fishing, and camping. Her passion as a health coach is helping people see their potential, reach goals, and lead a healthy lifestyle. In her spare time (what is that again??), she loves working out, running, and reading. Her favorite things to do with her handsome hubby include riding bikes downtown Colorado Springs for date nights, hiking the incline, trying new (exotic) foods, spending time with great (adult) friends, and trying craft beers (inspired of course by her husband!).
