Food Truck Guide: Best Eats & Treats in Colorado Springs

Food trucks are more than just food served from a truck. Often these mobile restaurants offer unique gourmet food selections that are sure to satisfy the taste buds.

How do I find them?

Social media will be your friend when it comes to finding where your favorite food trucks are located and when they will be there. Many food trucks utilize Facebook and Twitter to post their location, schedule and menu for the day or week. While some trucks have locations they are at regularly, make sure to check into their social media page to figure out where you can find them when you’re ready for your next meal. Many food trucks pair with local breweries. You might find that your favorite local brewery will post a food truck schedule each week as well. Even if you’re not going in for a drink, you can still stop by and enjoy the food truck.

Every time I show up where Potato Potato is supposed to be during the time they are supposed to be open, they either are not there, or the truck is there but they are not open. Been trying for a while to catch them open and eventually gave up. I hear they are good, but not a very good business model to advertise a place and time and not actually ever be open.

Hello! Thanks for reading. That’s unfortunate you’ve not been able to locate them. I’ve found that many food trucks are super quick to respond to Facebook or Twitter messages if you double check before going out to visit them. I’ve heard delicious things about Potato Potato.

Hey, Doc. Sorry you’ve missed us. The downtown spot has not been very lucrative and in order to pay our bills and best utilize our labor, we have to pick and choose our days carefully.
We have a schedule posted (and updated every week). You can find it on our Facebook or Twitter feeds.

I have had Abuela’s Cuban food, best Cuban sandwich I’ve had since I left FL. The salsa is tasty, crisp and bright which let’s you know it’s fresh and good ingredients. Highly recommend if you like Cuban food.

Here’s a new one you missed: Itza Waffle!
We caught Pig Latin (amazing!) at Wolf Ranch and tried Itza Waffle who was parked nearby as well. They have savory and sweet waffles on sticks (about the size of a corndog), two for $6 or $3.50 each. We enjoyed the bacon/cheddar as well as a chocolate one that tasted like a warm brownie. They even had peanutbutter drizzle for the chocolate one. So nice!
