2017 Guide to Pumpkin Patches and Farms in Colorado Springs

The kids are back to school, the temperatures are dropping, the leaves are starting to turn colors, and if you’re like me, fall is a fun season to enjoy with the family! I’ve scoured the area and put together the most thorough list of pumpkin patches and farms in our area for fun with your kids. Whatever your family enjoys about fall-you can find it here!

Open Sept 20- Oct 31, Mostly as follows (check their website): Mon – Thurs: 10-6; Fri 10 AM – 11 PM; Sat 9 AM – 11 PM; Sun 9 AM – 10 PM. Some Thursdays in October it’s open until 10 PM.

The pumpkin patch closes at dusk, with the last wagon ride out being at either 5:30 or 6, depending on the day of the week. The pumpkins are not included in the price of admission and vary in price depending on size from $2 to $12.

Pricing: Mon-Thurs $10, Fri-Sun $14-16, Under 3 free, Groups of 20 or more would qualify for their group rate. Call or check their website for more info on their group rate.  You can avoid waiting in line at the gate by purchasing tickets online.  Online and at the gate they accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Admission includes: Corn maze (30 acres, open day and night, not haunted and there is a smaller maze for ages 2-8), Hayrides, Pumpkin Launches (11-6, hourly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), Pedal karts, Mine Cars, Barrel Train, farm animals, Fort-A-Lot-A-Fun, Punchin Pumpkins.  For an additional fee there is: Pumpkins available for purchase, Gem Mining, Mini-Pumpkin Launching, S’mores, Pony Rides, Face Painting, General Store, Duck Races, Campfire Site rentals, and Concession Stands.

They also have tickets available for Terror In The Corn, a haunted hayride and Ghost Town experience.  Tickets are $22-$25 depending on the day of the week.  It starts at 7 PM and is a timed event. Also available is Zombie Paintball for $22-$25, where you can hunt Zombies in the cornfield.  These events are open Friday and Saturday nights beginning Sept 22nd, Thursday nights begin Oct 12.  Tickets to each of these events include admission to the Fall Festival, and a Combo Ticket for both Zombies and Terror can be purchased for $40-$45.

They are open 7 days a week starting Sept 23rd through Oct 29th.  They are open 9 AM – 5 PM, except Sept 25-27, Oct 2-4, Oct 16-18, and Oct 23-25, then they are open 9 Am to 1 PM.

The Colorado Pumpkin Patch has a new location!  They are now located at:

They are hoping to have an additional location near the north side of Colorado Springs, more information to come on that as soon as we get it!

Admission: Oct 7-15, and Oct 21-22 is: Adults $9.50 and Kids $11.  Sept 23-Oct 6, Oct 16-20 and Oct 23-29 is $9.50 for everyone.  Kids 2 and under are always free.  Military and senior Tickets are $8.50.  School and Scout groups are $7 per person.  Birthday and Group rate for groups  of 15 or more people is $8.50 per person and includes a pumpkin.  Additional Fees for: Concessions, Face Painting*, Pony Rides*, and pumpkins. Pumpkins are sold in size categories, ranging from $2.50-$10. *Activities available on select days only

Included with the price of admission: 80 ft Straw Slides for children big and small, Large Straw Bale Pyramid, Mini Straw Maze for kids, Steer Head Roping, Duck Races, Gourd Launching, Kids’ Corn Box, Wagon (tractor “hay”) rides for all, Restored 1940s and 1950s Tractors, 30 foot jumping pillow, Large Outdoor Games (Jenga, Checkers, 4-Way Checkers, Tic-Tac-Toe), Tube Swings, and Farm Animals petting area – pony, alpaca, llama, calf, goat, sheep, chickens, duck, geese, turkey and a faux milking cow!

Open Weekends Sept 15 through Oct 29.

Hours are: Fridays and Saturdays: 10 AM-6 PM, Sundays 10 AM-5 PM  (end ties are for the last ticket sold, event close one hour later)  

Except! During the Pumpkin Festival, October 13-15, hours are Friday & Saturday 9 AM-6 PM, Sunday 9 AM -5 PM.  During the Pumpkin Festival you must purchase tickets to the festival to gain entry to the maze.

Admission: Non-Member Pricing: adult $14, Senior/Student/Military $13, Child (3-12) $11, 2 & Under: free ; Member Pricing: Adults $12, Child $9. Groups of 15 or more qualify for Member pricing

Corn Maze admission includes: entrance to the 7 Acre Maze, mini maze (for 10 & under), unlimited jumping pillow, one hay ride, and barrel train ride (12 & Under). Pony Rides available for an additional $5 fee.  To save costs, printed maps will not be available at the maze. 

Also available:

After Dark Corn Maze where the light are out and you have to find your way out with only the light of a glow stick.  The prices are the same as the Corn Maze  

Dead Zone Scream Park, includes admission into the Corn Stalkers Haunted Maze, Reapers Ranch,  After Dark Maze and a haunted hayride.  Recommended for ages 13 and up.  Admission is $27, or $37 for a Fast Pass.

Friday & Saturday 10 AM – 9 PM (last admission 8 PM), Sunday 10 AM – 6 PM (Last admission 5 PM).  Open Monday through Thursday and later on weekends by appointment for groups of 15 or more.

Admission is $10 per person and includes a pumpkin while they last; Kids under 5 are free, but does NOT include a pumpkin.  A season pass is available for $25 and includes one pumpkin.

They have a pumpkin patch, corn bin, hay slide and duck races. Each year they create a new pattern to their corn maze.  October 1st and 2nd they will have a Fall Festival where they will have available old fashioned games, such as: sack races, three-legged races, corn toss, duck races and a face painter available on site.  They are a working farm and ask that you please follow the parking signs and be respectful of their neighbors when parking and using the farm.

Admission is $10 per person (one and under are free), and includes all activities and one pumpkin per person. Discounts available for groups of 20 or more.

Activities available: hay rides, hay pyramid with slide, balloon launchers, corn box, pipe swing, story and puppet theater, sack races, corn hole games, crafts, sand box, Gaga ball, and pick your own pumpkin.

Opens for the season on August 9th, pumpkin will be ready beginning September 9th.

Open Wednesday-Sunday 9 AM – 4:30 PM

A u-pick farm, they charge no admission, offer free hayrides and charge by the pound ($0.55 per pound for pumpkins). Sept 16th and 17th they will open the pumpkin patch up with their Fall Festival with free admission, free hayrides and great food!  They are a u-pick farm, where you can get apples in the orchard for $1.85 per pound, or $1.95 per pound in their store, raspberries and blackberries should be available in the beginning of September for $5.75 per pound.  They also have available fresh-pressed cider for $6 for a half-gallon.  Containers for berries and apple bags are free.

 

Open Weekends, starting Sept 29th,  Friday 12-5 PM, Saturday 10-5 PM, Sunday 12-5 PM

Admission is $12 per person (which includes all activities and a pumpkin) or $8 per person for just the activities (kids 2 and under are free w/o a pumpkin)

Admission includes: hayrides, hay bale slide, duck races, bean bag toss, giant building blocks, corn boxes, bowling, tractor swings, tether ball, fort, puppet theater, tic-tac-toe, checkers, farm animals, pumpkin patch, water pump station and story time in the barn ( Fri, Sat and Sun at 11 and 2, each weekend will have a different theme).  New this year to the Farm: wagon train, sand pile, sling shots, Lincoln logs and a children’s market.

Open from Labor day through mid-November, 9 AM-6 PM daily

Admission: adults age 13 & up: $20 per person or a family of 4 is $65, each additional person over the first 4 is $15 per person; Children ages 4-12: $15 per person, 3 and under are free; Groups of 10 or more are $15 per person. Wagon sale: load a wagon full of pumpkins, gourds and winter squash plus whatever goodies are available that day for $30.

Admission includes all activities and for each person to pick up to 4 bags of produce each. Over the 4 bag limit and it’s $10 per each additional bag.
Activities: hay ride through 180 acres to pick your own produce, petting zoo, corn maze, tour of ‘Antique Alley’, peddle tractors, hay pyramid, and lots of other cool activities.

Third Street Apples is a working u-pick farm.  They have many varieties of apples, and pumpkins starting in September.  Apples are $1.99 per pound, pumpkins are $0.60 per pound.  Check their website to see which varieties of apples are available for picking, each variety is ready at a different point in the season.

Admission to the farm is free, pumpkins are $0.50 per pound.

Venetucci Farms will have their pumpkin patch open for 2017!   It is a u-pick farm where you can head out into the field and pick your own pumpkin.  You are also welcome to visit with the chickens, goats, and horses that call Venetucci home.  The farm has a busy schedule of school groups the first two weeks in October, if they have many pumpkins left over they will add dates and times, so be sure to check their website for additional dates.

Admission is $10 per person, children under 2 are free.  Military Appreciation Weekend is Sept 30/Oct 1, military ID gets $2 off admission.  Pumpkins are $4 for any size.  

They celebrate fall with their Fall Fest, where you can pick pumpkins out of the field, or enjoy the corn bins, barrel train rides, duck races, hay wagon rides, play horse shoes, the straw pyramid, tire swings, jumping pillow, beanbag toss, washer toss, the petting zoo, the pedal cart track (for ages 7 and up), or pony rides (for an additional $4).
