I want to preface this by admitting to you all that I am not an athletic person. I do not consistently work out, nor am I in shape. As a work at home, mom of 5, I spend a lot of time either sitting in my office plugging away at my computer or out running errands to keep my family of 7 running smoothly. So, I want you to understand that this review is not coming from a fitness junkie. Nope, I am just your average busy mom, who has spent too many years taking care of others, while neglecting herself. But thanks to Central Colorado Springs Fit Body Boot Camp, this momma is changing her ways.
When I was presented with the opportunity to try out a class at Central Colorado Springs Fit Body Boot Camp, my first thought was, “I am going to die.” Yes, that is quite dramatic, I know. But there is something about the words, Boot Camp, that can initially sound intimidating. But, guess what? Not only did I survive my first Boot Camp class, I left with a smile on my face, and went back for more. And now, I am making it a part of my weekly routine.
Ladies, I am LOVING Central Colorado Springs Fit Body Boot Camp and here’s why:
The Encouragement and Community are Top-Notch:
From the moment I walked through the doors at Central Colorado Springs Fit Body Boot Camp, I felt like I belonged. Owner and trainer, Jennifer, along with trainer Zac, made everyone feel at home. We started the workout by introducing ourselves, which I loved. It is so nice to be able to put a name to a face. As we dove into the High Intensity Workout, the trainers consistently motivated us. They also took the time to observe each one of us, to make sure we were completing the workout properly. Form is important, and they were quick to come over to us with instruction or modifications. Upon completion of the 30-minute workout, the group collectively congratulated one another. There were high-fives and smiles all around.
Community didn’t stop there. Jennifer immediately invited me to the VIP Member group on Facebook. It was there that I saw that the encouragement continued online, as Boot Camp members shared motivational posts and recipes along with group outing plans, like an upcoming hike up the incline. As a mom, community is something I crave. I love that I found it at Central Colorado Springs Fit Body Boot Camp.
The Class Size is Perfect for Me:
I have decided to attend class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:45 A.M. This is the ideal time for me, as I can drop my kids off at school and then head to Boot Camp. As an introvert, I can quickly find myself overwhelmed by large fitness classes. The 8:45 session is a perfect fit, as the class size is relatively small. On average, there are usually 15 or so of us. However, I do know that there are others who prefer a larger fitness class. If that is you, then the weekday early morning and evening sessions, as well as the Saturday morning sessions will be right up your alley.
No matter how big or small the class, the attention and encouragement received from the trainers are consistent across the board. They give one-on-one attention to everyone. It is obvious that they are passionate about helping us achieve our fitness goals.
I Have More Energy:
It is a well-known fact that as we incorporate a fitness routine into our lives, we begin to see our energy levels increase. Ladies, I used to have afternoon fatigue that would kick in after lunch each day. By the time 8:00 P.M. rolled around, I was ready to put my own self to bed after the kids were asleep. But, I have begun to notice my energy levels ramp up. Starting my morning with Boot Camp sets me up for a productive day and one that I have the energy to power through. I also LOVE that the Boot Camp classes are only 30 minutes long. It makes it easier for me to still make time for fitness, even with a never-ending to-do list.
I’ve Incorporated Healthier Habits:
It is incredible to see how implementing a simple 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week fitness routine into my life has started to improve my own self-care habits – from the beverages I choose to drink, to the food I choose to eat. I have never been a water drinker. In fact, I will choose coffee, iced tea and sadly, soda over water any day. This has gotten me into trouble in the past, causing me to have frequent bladder infections. Since starting Boot Camp, my water intake has increased astronomically. I even find myself craving it, which is HUGE! Not only that, but now that I am working out more frequently, I am much more conscious about the meals and snacks that I consume.
This is another reason why I love the Facebook VIP Member group so much. Not only do members share their favorite snacks, but Jennifer also provides weekly newsletters in the group that are filled with exciting and delicious recipes.
It’s a Break for my Brain:
I know that I have mentioned my ever growing to-do list numerous times, maybe that is because it is ALWAYS on my mind. At any given moment, my brain is listing off my grocery list, reminding me of my errands for the day, debating over what to make for dinner and rehashing my work to-dos. It can be exhausting. Fit Body Boot Camp is the cure, seriously.
During class, I am not thinking about anything else, not a darn thing, other than the exercises that I am doing at that very moment. It has got to be one of the only times that my brain has focused solely on ONE thing! It is honestly very freeing.
