Twelve Colorado military families will receive a special treat this holiday season: a fun-filled weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, a Dolce Resort. Your vote will determine the winners!
What They Will Receive
This memorable weekend will include a complimentary two-night stay, breakfast each day and elf-turndown service. Plus, on-site childcare while Mom or Dad enjoys a massage, gourmet hot cocoa by the fire, popcorn and a movie and more.
The contest was open to active duty families based in Colorado. One parent must be deployed and one child must be living at home. Each of these separated families will connect for a 30-minute Skype session on the resort’s 120-inch big screen. And the Colorado contingent will select from donated items to assemble a “holiday care package” for the deployed parent, shipped overseas free of charge.
Vote, Vote, Vote
Please vote for your Top 10 Families. You may vote once per day, per device. A random number generator will select the other two from the remaining 14. Voting opens December 4, 2017. Votes must be posted by 5:00 PM on December 8, 2017. Winners will be announced and notified on December 11, 2017.
We realize that all of these families, as well as those nominees not selected as finalists, deserve this weekend. Cheyenne Mountain can only accommodate 12 this year, but please know that we appreciate each of you. We at the resort and Colorado Springs Moms Blog acknowledge your sacrifice and we thank you.
To that end, Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs has launched a Military Salute package. Through March 15, military personnel can book a $106 stay that includes free childcare and many other discounts.
Finally, if you would personally like to honor troops overseas this season, send us some hand-written holiday cards and letters. We will include them in care packages headed abroad to spread cheer among our men and women in uniform. They must be in our hands by Dec. 10. Click here for details.
