Is your military spouse deployed this holiday season? Do you know a family in Colorado with one parent deployed for the holidays?

Time is running out to nominate that family for a fun-filled holiday staycation at Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, a Dolce Resort. The deadline is Dec. 1, so don’t delay!

Top 5 Reasons To Nominate a Military Family

Top 5 Reasons to Nominate a Deserving Family:

5 – FAMILY FUN. Participation in the resort’s planned holiday activities, including elf turndown service, gourmet hot cocoa by the fire, popcorn and a holiday movie, complimentary breakfasts and more.

4 – FREE LODGING. Complimentary two-night stay for the family in a deluxe guest room on either Dec. 15-17 or Dec. 22-24.

3 – HOLIDAY CARE PACKAGE FOR DEPLOYED PARENT. The opportunity to select from donated items and holiday cards and letters to assemble a “holiday care package” for the deployed parent, shipped overseas free of charge.

2 – SUPERSIZED SKYPE SESSION. The local family members will receive a 30-minute Skype session on the resort’s 120-inch big screen to connect with their deployed loved one.

1 – WELL-EARNED RELAXATION. Complimentary childcare on-site for two hours so the mom or dad holding down the homefront can enjoy a complimentary, 50-minute massage.

The Details:

There is no catch. Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Moms Blog are organizing this initiative simply to make the holidays brighter for 12 military families.

To be eligible, families must be based in Colorado, have at least one child living at home and have one active duty parent deployed who will not be home for the holidays. Winners will be announced and notified on December 11, 2017.

You may read more about “Holiday Mission Codename: Military Merriment” and fill out a nomination form here. (We would love to honor each of the finalists by name and with photo. But we understand that a few of you may have security concerns. We get it. If you have questions or concerns, please fill out the form AND contact us. We will work out a solution together.)

Don’t personally know a military family who could take advantage of this? Please share. Spread the word. You live in Colorado—home to 35,000 troops. Chances are, someone you know knows a family who would treasure a weekend of fun and pampering.

For those active duty families with both parents in town this year, Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs has launched a new Military Salute package to honor you, as well. Now through March 15, active duty military personnel with a valid ID can book a stay that includes the following:

• Two free hours of on-site childcare at Kid’s Korner, $20/child value (reservations must be made in advance)
• Per diem government rate of $106 per night (subject to availability, applicable taxes and fees)
• Complimentary breakfast for active duty service member, a $25/day value
• 20% off all spa treatments, golf and rental clubs and food and beverage
• Waived per night pet fee and complimentary doggie welcome bag, $35 value (Limit two dogs per guestroom; dogs must be under 80lbs)

And Finally…

Looking for a way you could help honor those troops deployed overseas this season? Write them holiday letters and cards. Have your kids draw them pictures. Simply say “thanks.”

Send these notes to us and we will get them into the hands of grateful Airmen, Sailors, Marines, Soldiers and Coast Guard Members. Here is what to do

Thank you.
